Mythical Creatures and Other News

I've entered the Mythical Creatures Design Challenge and I hope you will like my design and vote for it. Voting closes Tuesday.
The other entries include some really splendid work, so I'm not honestly expecting to win, but I hope my design will be displayed as a semi-finalist, generating interest in my art.
The main project I'm working on now may not be ready to upload for a long while. It will combine scans of over 20 separate drawings. I'm also planning to develop "Among the Rocks" into a print-worthy composition, but that's even further in the future. In the meantime I have a number of sketches, mostly small ones, that I'll be scanning and putting up.

The Questions and My Answers
Q: the only question that matters: batman or superman?
A: Hard to say. Batman is a better character, Superman has better comics, and both have movies of hugely variable quality. I guess I'll go with Batman.
Q: who had it worse, isaac (from the dead space games) or ripley (from the alien franchise)?
A: Ripley, because she died, and before that she had to live through Alien 3
Q: do you think chivalry is dead? (and if you do, who killed it?)
A: It's not dead as long as it lives in my head.
Q: are you a pc or a mac?
A: P.C.
Q: do you think now is a good time to be a geek?
A: Now is the best time ever to be a geek. It has never been so popular or socially acceptable.
Q: do you like watching/playing horror/gory movies/games?
A: Not really. Even Super Metroid is enough to give me the creeps.
Q: who inspires you? (could be for art or in life)
A: Wayne Douglas Barlowe! That was an easy one.
Q: what do you aspire to be?
A: A respected science fiction author and artist, like Wayne Douglas Barlowe!

1. I am crazy about girls.
2. I have only ever had one girlfriend (in an on-and-off relationship totalling 1 year and 11 months if you subtract the offs).
3. I am a cat person, but am allergic to cats, so I have a dog.
4. I love insects because I think they're fascinating and beautiful (generally speaking).
5. My favorite kind of pie is rhubarb (with gooseberry as a close second).
6. I am terribly afraid of nurses and have had many nightmares about them.
7. I once witnessed a cap spontaneously unscrew itself from a bottle of aspirin.
8. I make lists as a hobby.
9. I aspire to be a respected science fiction author and artist, illustrating my own books and those of other authors.
10. I am about to complete my first novel (the first draft, that is).
